Introduction

Founded and directed by Dr. William H. Chen, DMD, MAGD, the Chen Laser Institute is a training institute for dental colleagues learning to use lasers in dental procedures. The office is equipped with highly sophisticated equipment and the latest laser technology. Seminars are available for dentists interested in lasers. Tutorials and training are available for dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists. Advanced Training programs are held for dental specialists as well--Chen Laser Institute has recruited many reputable dental experts for the Advanced Laser Training.

Dr. William H. Chen, DMD, MAGD was the chief investigator for Biolase in obtaining FDA Clearance for complete Laser Root Canal Therapy as well as Bone Applications. He invented the following laser terminologies: “Turtle Technique”, the “Modified Turtle Technique”, and the “Rabbit Technique”. Chen Laser Institute is the only international laser training and educational organization that specializes in instruction of the Waterlase, Waterlase MD, LaserSmile, and EZlase wavelengths.

In each Training Seminar, the participant will be demonstrated, on LivePatients, the effective use of laser anesthesia in a variety of hard and soft tissue procedures. This is the only Training Course that shows the most number of Live Clinical Procedures! There is also the option for hands-on experience with the laser! The emphasis is to demonstrate how to successfully achieve a very high percentage of “No Shot, No Pain” (in most cases) laser applications. This is a “must-attend” training seminar for any Waterlase user who is not having success with laser anesthesia!

In the lecture portion, participants are instructed on laser physics, laser-tissue interaction, laser history, and safety practice and regulations. Useful handouts include a Manual with guidelines for Waterlase settings on a wide range of procedures. At the end of the course, each participant will have a good understanding of Chen Laser Techniques and should be comfortable performing a variety of procedures using laser anesthesia. Last but not least, each participant can take an Examination for recognition as an Associate Fellowship from the World Clinical Laser Institute.
